Clara was born 30 July 1876 in Brisbane, Queensland. She died 14 July 1954 and is buried in the Lutwyche Cemetery (Monumental 13-14-12)4
Herman died 9 September 1930 and is buried in the Toowong Cemetery.

Little is known about the life of Clara and Herman. The following information has been obtained from the Electoral Roll:
1915 - 1917: Herman & Clara lived on Mondure Estate, Murgon, Qld where Herman was a farmer.
1922 - 1928: Herman & Clara lived at Woodridge, Qld with Herman's occupation again shown as farmer.
1936 & 1937: Clara lived at St Clair's, Fewings St, Toowong.
(Note: Clara's niece, Ida May Pauline Karrasch, married Percy William St Clair. They lived in Fewings St, Toowong. Ida was the daughter of Clara's sister, Nanny Pauline (Annie) Karrasch. Ida died in 1947, aged 46 yrs.)
1943: Clara was living at 81 Musgrave Rd, Red Hill, Qld.
1949: Clara was living at 21 Beck St, Rosalie/Paddington
