She was joined by her mother, Christina Arendt (aged 80) and her daughter, Wilhelmine (aged 10 - spelt Knapkovski on the Passenger List)
Anna's daughter, Julianne, had sailed to Australia in 1876.

Anna married Gottlieb Neumann 10 November 1881.  Gottlieb had been married to Anna's sister, Caroline, who died  31 December 1880.

Julianne Rosalie Kubkowski married Carl Taege
on 28 October 1877 in the Lutheran Church, South Brisbane, Qld

Julianne sailed to Australia aboard the "Reichstag" which departed from Hamburg on 10 June 1876, arriving in Brisbane on 6 October 1876.
Also on board the "Reichstag" were two children of Friedrich & Auguste Otto
Paul Otto - age 8
Salma Otto - age 4
(The Otto family connection:  Julianne's daughter, Martha, married Bruno Otto who was a younger brother of Paul & Salma.  It seems it may have been coincidence that Julianne & the Otto children sailed to Australia on the same ship as it is believed they were in the company of Maria Flickenworth (age 21) and Ludwig Kahlert (age 26).)

Reichstag.jpg

The Reichstag was a ship of the Rob. M. Sloman line with a burden of 300 C.L.1 or capacity 722 NRT2 and dimensions 53.10 m x 9.17 m x 5.68 m.3 She was built in 1867 in the Stephen yards at Glasgow and received her certificate 26 June 1867.
This was the final of five voyages that she made from Hamburg to Australasia, four to Queensland and one to Wellington in New Zealand. After leaving Brisbane, she visited Rangoon before returning to Hamburg in 1877.
She was lost 11 August 1877 while travelling from Newcastle upon Tyne to Singapore.

The following information is known about Julianne's name:

Julianne Rosalie Kubkowski - Baptism entry (from handwritten entry)

Julianne Jacalie Kubkowski - Baptism entry (typewritten translated from handwriting)
Juliane Kubkowski - Hamburg Passenger Lists for "Reichstag"

Rosalie Juliane Kupkowski - Birth Certificate of daughter, Martha Alvene
Rosalschen Kupkowski - Death Certificate of daughter, Martha Alvene

It would seem that both "Rosalschen" and "Rosie" are affectionate names only.

Research has indicated that Juliane's birthplace was most likely Starogard, West Prussia (now Poland).  Refer Maps page for more information.
